Facilitator

In her work as a facilitator, Kate designs bespoke processes that enable individuals and groups to dream up ideas together, develop the skills to effectively communicate and collaborate well.

Kate helps build collaborative cultures where people can thrive. She supports organisations and individuals to articulate their purpose and values, hold difficult conversations, manage conflict and work together well. She holds space with sensitivity, compassion and creativity.

Kate has an Advanced Diploma in Group Facilitation from the Groupwork Institute and is a trained mediator (Resolution Institute). Kate is an associate at Groupwork Centre.

In 2022, Kate co-designed and co-facilitated (with Jen Rae, Christine Drummond and Jonathan Craig) the City of Melbourne's emergency exercise drill 'Exercise Torrent'. She has worked with the Centre for Reworlding, co-delivering their Creative Resilience Lab (Mount Alexander Shire), and facilitated A Climate for Art Symposium.

Organisations that Kate has worked for as a facilitator include A Climate For Art, Arts Centre Melbourne, The Greens Party (Victorian Branch), City of Melbourne, Groupwork Centre, Burwood Neighbourhood House, Safe Theatres Australia, Auspicious Arts, The Melbourne Fringe Festival, Lucy Guerin Inc, Next Wave Festival, Theatre Network Australia, Polyglot Theatre, Midsumma Festival, Circus and Physical Theatre First Nation Circle, Mount Alexander Shire Council, The Centre for Reworlding and L2R.

Kate brings exceptional clarity, an attuned ability to read the room, and a rare capacity to hold space for both people and complexity. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a thoughtful and skilled facilitator.  Jacina Leong- Artist, Curator, Educator and Researcher
Kate is an extraordinary facilitator. I love the gentle and sure-handed way she builds trust, inspires the group to listen to each other, and empowers courage. - Mike McEvoy - Facilitator, Learning Designer, Actor
Kate is hands down the best facilitator I have ever engaged - calm, thoughtful, capable and full of heart. She works closely with you to really understand what you need (sometimes different to what you thought), and then co-designs and runs a beautiful process to achieve that. She holds a room so well, but doesn’t take over - her facilitation is seamless and appears easy (it’s not!) Nicole Beyer- Social and Cultural Change Leader
